About Me

Hi! Welcome to my personal website. I am Ruiming Min (/ʐweɪ mɪŋ mɪn/, or “Ray Ming Min” for pronunciation, 闵锐明 in Chinese). You can also call me Raymon.

I am a Ph.D. student in Statistics at the School of Statistics, University of Minnesota, working under the supervision of Professor Xiaotong Shen. Before coming to Minnesota, I completed my undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Economics, with a second major in Computer Science, at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

My research interests include generative inference, prediction and inference for black-box learners, causal relations, privacy-aware statistical learning, and synthetic data generated by modern generative models. I am always happy to connect with people working on related problems.

During my undergraduate studies, I collaborated with Professor Xinzhou GUO on differential privacy in high-dimensional linear models, and with Professor Junhui WANG on privacy-aware synthetic data generation and causal relations.
